We walked a Foshan furniture market in Shunde live on camera and asked the stands their prices. A seven-piece wooden dining set, a table and six chairs, was 13,800 yuan (about $2,060), a six-piece bedroom set 6,900 yuan (about $1,030) and a leather sofa 8,000 yuan (about $1,190); office chairs started at 95 yuan (about $14). These are asking prices at the market, before freight. Sea freight is quoted by volume to your port, and import duty and clearance are paid by you on arrival.
A bed with mattress was 3,900 yuan (about $580), a marble dining table without chairs 7,900 yuan (about $1,180), a dining set with ten chairs 14,800 yuan (about $2,210) and a school desk with its chair 210 yuan a set (about $31).
