Every car we ship travels in a shared 40ft container, two to a box, or three if they are small. One car costs about $1,600 to Vladivostok, $2,250 to Lagos and $4,000 to Jebel Ali, loading in China included. A whole forty-foot container is a different price on every lane: about $2,200 to Vladivostok, $3,500 to Lagos, $4,000 to Rotterdam and $9,700 to New York. Import duty and customs clearance are on top and paid on arrival. A used car itself starts around $2,300. Rates assessed September 2026; prices from our own catalogue the same month.

Per car: one compact SUV of 15 m³ sharing a 40ft container with one other car, loading and lashing in China included. A car of 13 m³ or less fits three to a box and costs about a quarter less. Per m³ is the container rate over its 58 m³ of usable space, which is how furniture, toys and machinery are priced. Every figure here is approximate and marked «~»: freight is quoted per sailing, so the firm number comes with a quote. A dash in the per-car column means a used car cannot be imported there; the European, North American and Australian ports are listed for furniture, toys and machinery. Duty, clearance and inland delivery are not included.
| Country | Age limit | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Nigeria | 12 years | Model year 2014 or newer. Left-hand drive accepted. |
| Ghana | 15 years | Since 1 October 2026 the Ghana Standards Authority refuses cars over 15 years old and any flood, fire or frame damaged car. Over 10 years, customs adds an age penalty. |
| Togo | none | No age limit published. |
| Côte d'Ivoire | 5 years | Strictly enforced. Left-hand drive required. |
| Senegal | 10 years | Private cars and light utility vehicles. Trucks and buses up to 15 years. Raised from 8 years by a decree of October 2025. |
| Georgia | none | Poti is the entry port for the Caucasus. |
| Armenia | none | Via Poti. 32% duty plus 20% VAT. Clears for the whole EAEU. |
| Moldova | none | No age limit. Arrives via Constanta. |
| Colombia | none | Used vehicles cannot be imported at all. New, zero-kilometre only. |
| Peru | 4 years | Most used stock does not qualify. |
| Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda | none | Right-hand drive markets. Chinese cars are left-hand drive and do not suit them. |
| Egypt, South Africa, Morocco, Sudan | none | Used vehicle imports banned outright. |
| United States | none | Cars under 25 years old must meet FMVSS. Chinese domestic cars are not certified. |
| European Union | none | EU type approval required; cars built for the Chinese market do not have it. |
Cars built for the Chinese market are left-hand drive, which rules out right-hand-drive countries whatever the age limit says. Rules change; check against your own customs authority before committing.

Ex-freight, from our own catalogue on September 2026. “Typical” is the median, not the average: a make spanning a 2015 sedan and a current flagship has no meaningful average. Makes with fewer than nine cars in stock are left out. Freight is priced per make from the body types in stock, not one figure for all of them: a pickup is 16 m³ against a hatchback’s 11, and costs accordingly. Shown to Lagos because a table cell cannot wait for you to pick a port; the table above has the rest. Duty and clearance are yours on arrival.
